Role Overview
Our client, a fast-growing payments and digital financial services provider is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (PCF-14) to lead its enterprise risk management framework.
This role is responsible for risk governance across operational, regulatory, financial, cyber, fraud, technology and strategic risk categories.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and enhance the enterprise risk management framework tailored to a payments/fintech environment.
Define risk appetite, risk metrics and reporting frameworks for senior management and the Board.
Oversee operational risk, fraud risk, regulatory risk, financial risk, IT/cyber risk and strategic risk.
Conduct risk assessments on new products, features, partnerships and market expansions.
Lead development of risk dashboards, incident reporting, scenario analysis and stress testing.
Provide strategic challenge and risk insight to the executive team and product leaders.
Manage risk incidents, root-cause analysis and remediation planning.
Work closely with compliance, AML, operations, engineering and finance to ensure strong internal controls.
Represent the risk function in regulatory engagements and external audits.
Experience & Skills Required
*****+ years' risk management experience, ideally within fintech, e-money, payments, or financial services.
Strong understanding of risk governance in a tech-driven payments environment.
Experience with operational resilience, fraud prevention, cyber/IT risk and data-related risk.
Proven experience engaging with senior leadership and board-level committees.
Ability to build and scale a risk management function in a growing business.
Highly analytical with strong strategic problem-solving abilities.
