Senior Site Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer to join our team in Galway. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical excellence on a new project, utilizing modern construction methods and innovative building techniques.
The role involves setting out using total station & GPS equipment, establishing and maintaining procedures with design teams and subcontractors, and recording daily activities in the site management system. Additionally, the successful candidate will conduct work in a safe manner, comply with ISO company procedures, and report to the management team on programme schedules.
Responsibilities include:
* Setting out using total station & GPS equipment.
* Establishing and maintaining procedures with design teams and subcontractors.
* Recording daily activities in the site management system.
* Conducting work in a safe manner and reporting incidents.
* Complying with ISO company procedures.
* Reporting to the management team on programme schedules.
* Undertaking surveys and ensuring engineering details are followed on site.
* Supervising subcontractors and checking quality of works.
* Document reviews, scheduling, and attending site meetings.
* Reporting to the Project Manager and senior management team on all aspects of engineering relating to the project.
* Managing and providing training to junior staff and engineers.
* Ensuring compliance with agreed construction methods, particularly those relating to Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* 3+ years in a similar role.
* Engineering Degree required.
* Knowledge of construction techniques and competence in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong IT skills with good knowledge of MS Office & CAD.
* A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
* Strong Management Skills.
* Full Irish Driving Licence.
