Currently, we are hiring an Electrical Engineer to support a very high-profile pharmaceutical client in Co. Limerick.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide technical electrical design support for a new Process Area CAPEX project and assist with smaller electrical projects across the site.
* Design, implement, and maintain LV systems (lighting, general services, UPS, protection settings including Arc Flash) and ELV systems(fire alarm, data points, building automation).
* Prepare, review, and maintain electrical drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
* Support design reviews, site acceptance testing, and installation of electrical equipment.
* Specify and oversee installation of cGMP electrical & instrumentation equipment and process controls.
* Manage and monitor electrical systems residing on the business IT network.
* Support the Validation team by preparing design documents and assisting in protocol execution.
* Lead and participate in investigations of equipment or control system anomalies, including power quality events.
* Prepare engineering evaluations, execute modifications, and ensure proper change control documentation.
* Supervise and coordinate electrical contractors, ensuring works are completed to specification and industry standards.
* Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements.
Authority:
* You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
* Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in electrical engineering, ideally within a regulated or pharmaceutical environment.
* Proven experience in the design, commissioning, and maintenance of LV and ELV electrical systems.
* Knowledge of cGMP requirements, validation processes, and change control procedures.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical report writing skills.
* Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
