Position description The Business Development function identifies, secures, and grows commercial opportunities across the full asset lifecycle from site acquisition to long-term utilisation and revenue optimisation. In support of ESB's strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity, building resilient infrastructure and empowering clients, linked with the Electrification of Transport. Key Responsibilities Site Acquisition & Network Growth Source and secure new sites across RoI, NI & GB. Lead commercial negotiations with landlords-hosts. Work with Legal, Property, Commercial and Finance to finalise lease and contract agreements. Commercial Development Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with our 2030 strategy. Structure and negotiate commercial deals to support expansion of the rapid and HPC charging network. Manage third-party consultants and suppliers supporting BD activity. Customer, Host & Partner Management Acquire fleet, roaming (OCPI) and enterprise customers. Manage key accounts and landlord/host relationships, including renewals and performance reporting. Engage Local Authorities and external partners to identify new opportunities. Bids, Funding & Modelling Support commercial bids and financial modelling. Monitor and maximise external funding opportunities across both jurisdictions. Experience & Qualifications Essential 10+ years' experience in site acquisition, negotiation, wayleaves or property agreements. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of planning, environmental and property processes. Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills. Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience. Desirable As a BD team member to deliver KPIs and progress opportunities through ESB governance. Collaborate with other businesses units within the Group, to meet overall company objectives. Location Based in Swift Square, Santry, with travel to GB.
