Social Care Leader (CORU Registered) – Children's Residential Service Tipperary, Ireland | Full-Time IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYINGThis role is only open to candidates who already meet ALL of the following criteria:• CORU registered as a Social Care Worker or have a CORU application already submitted• Hold a full, clean manual EU driving licence valid in Ireland• Have the unrestricted legal right to work in Ireland (no visa sponsorship available)Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be progressed.About Eden Social CareEden Social Care is a new, values-led children's residential provider opening a therapeutic home for young people aged 12–17 in Tipperary.From the outset, Eden has been designed with a clear belief: safe, consistent relationships are the foundation of effective care, and staff wellbeing is a safeguarding issue.We are building a service grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-based practice, with strong governance, reflective supervision, and visible leadership embedded from day one.The Role – Social Care LeaderThis is a key leadership role within the residential centre.As a Social Care Leader, you will lead shifts, mentor staff, and contribute to the development of a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment for young people. You will work closely with the Deputy Manager and Service Manager to embed high standards of care, safeguarding, and professional practice.This role is particularly suited to experienced practitioners who want to help build a service properly, rather than inherit poor systems or culture.Key Responsibilities• Lead shifts with confidence, professionalism, and child-centred decision-making• Model trauma-informed, relationship-based practice• Support and mentor Social Care Workers and support staff• Contribute to care planning, placement planning, and crisis support planning• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, documentation, and record-keeping• Act as a Mandated Person in line with Children First• Promote the rights, voice, and participation of young people• Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies• Support consistent routines, daily living tasks, and therapeutic activities• Monitor practice in line with Tusla/HIQA National Standards• Contribute to reflective team discussions, supervision, and service developmentEssential Criteria• Level 7 qualification (or higher) in Social Care or a CORU-eligible discipline• CORU registration as a Social Care Worker, or evidence of application submitted• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and/or young people in social care• Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice• Full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland• Excellent communication, leadership, and professional judgement skillsWhat Eden Offers• Salary: €42,000 – €46,000 (DOE)• Supportive, visible leadership• Reflective supervision focused on professional growth• Opportunity to influence service culture and practice from the outset• A stable, values-driven working environment• Ongoing training and developmentHow to ApplyPlease apply via LinkedIn only if you meet all essential criteria.You may also submit a CV directly to: Please include"Social Care Leader – Tipperary"in the subject line.
