Our team of seven directors and over 80 staff deliver a first-class service across four offices, supporting a diverse client base at local, national and international levels.Guided by our purpose “Achieve a Better Future Together” we are excited to continue expanding our team with talented individuals who share our ambition and values.Role OverviewWe are looking to strengthen our existing Client Payroll Team and are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Dundalk office. This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who is eager to further progress their career in a fast-paced payroll bureau environment.The role will be office-based from Monday to Thursday, with the flexibility of a half-day working from home on Fridays.We are committed to supporting our people through career-focused development programmes and training, delivered in partnership with a range of external experts. These opportunities are designed to foster both personal and professional growth at all levels, ensuring our team members can achieve their career ambitions.Payroll ProcessingPrepare weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls using BrightPay software, ensuring all deadlines are met.Review timesheets for accuracy before uploading to payroll software.Calculate holiday pay and statutory payments (e.g., sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay).Calculate and process benefits in kind for inclusion in payroll.Maintain pension contribution records and upload reports to pension providers where required.Assist with bank transfers for salary payments.Distribute payslips on or before the payment date.Submit monthly PAYE returns to Revenue and manage associated payments.Client ManagementManage a dedicated portfolio of payroll clients, liaising regularly to ensure excellent service.Support the delivery of payroll services to a diverse portfolio, including domestic and international clients, ensuring work meets professional standards and agreed timeframes.Liaise with clients throughout the year to maintain strong relationships.Assist in proposals for new work and participate in presentations to prospective clients as required.Team Support & Quality AssuranceConduct reviews and quality checks of payroll processed by junior team members.Assist with technical queries and support the professional development of junior team members.Support the payroll manager with team training and development where required.Remain up to date with Irish payroll legislation to ensure compliance.Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.Additional DutiesAssist the Payroll Manager with invoicing and billing processes.Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.Complete ad hoc tasks and assignments relevant to the role.About YouYou will have at least 2 - 3 years’ experience working in a busy payroll bureau environment.You are IPASS qualified.Strong technical skills and knowledge of payroll including PAYE, PRSI, USC, BIK, ROS, EFT, CSO, Gender Pay Gap & SSP.Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage multiple engagements, delegate appropriately and manage a team.Experience with coaching/managing junior team members (Desirable).You will be tech-savvy.You will have a pro‑active approach to tasks, big and small.You will be motivated by a fast‑paced environment.You will be keen to immerse yourself in our company culture.You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.You will have excellent planning and organisational ability.You will have excellent attention to detail.What We OfferWe offer a comprehensive package with many supports and benefits, some of which we have listed:Competitive salary based on your experience.Flexible working hours, with a four‑and‑a‑half‑day week.UHY Network firm – Network & Travel opportunities.Paid Professional Membership.Generous holiday allowance with additional company days for Christmas and Easter holidays.Ability to build up 5 additional days of leave per annum.Additional days annual leave after 5 & 10 years service.Paid volunteering day to spend one day each year dedicated to a cause you care about.Travel Insurance.Training and continuous learning & Funded CPD hours programme/tuition.Free parking.CSR, ESG and Social Committees offering funded social events.Commission for introducing new clients and new team members.Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.Great teammates & Diverse and inclusive culture.Discounts available with partners for gym membership, hotel bookings, retail, and more & Onsite Food Truck & Games Room.Our ValuesAt UHY FDW, we are committed to diversity, equality and inclusion and are proud to be an equal opportunities employer.Our values reflect our culture, with being respectful for ourselves, our colleagues and our clients; open communication; teamwork; the highest ethical standards; and a shared commitment to delivering excellent results with passion and integrity.
