Fíbín Media, a West of Ireland-based production company, is seeking an experienced Senior Video Editor to lead our team of editors and oversee delivery across a growing slate of projects.

This is a senior, hands-on role combining creative leadership, people management, workflow innovation, and delivery oversight.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of editors and graphic designers, developing and implementing efficient post-production processes, introducing new tools and ways of working, and ensuring that all content is delivered on time, on budget, and to broadcaster standards.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for post-production delivery across multiple projects and productions.
Ensure all programmes and deliverables meet editorial, technical, and broadcaster specifications.
Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery timelines to ensure target dates are consistently met.
Act as senior editorial sign-off where appropriate, providing constructive feedback and creative direction.
Team Management & Development
Line-manage a team of editors, assistant editors, and graphic designers.
Build a positive, collaborative, and high-performance post-production culture.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new editors as the slate grows.
Mentor and develop editors, identifying skill gaps and encouraging progression.
Workflow, Process & Innovation
Review existing post-production workflows and implement improved processes for efficiency, resilience, and scalability.
Introduce new tools, technologies, and systems where appropriate (editing workflows, media management, collaboration tools, etc.).
Establish clear post-production standards, documentation, and best practice across projects.
Work closely with production, technical, and management teams to continuously improve delivery pipelines.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with Producers and Directors to plan and manage post-production.
Act as the main point of contact for post-production scheduling and delivery planning.
Communicate clearly with broadcasters and external post partners where required.
Manage expectations during tight turnaround periods and problem-solve under pressure.
Technical Oversight
Maintain oversight of post-production infrastructure and workflows.
Ensure files, media, backups, and archive processes are robust and future-proofed.
Flag technical risks early and propose practical solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
8+ years' experience as a Senior Editor in broadcast, factual, documentary, or drama.
Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of editors.
Strong understanding of broadcast post-production workflows and delivery requirements.
Excellent organisational and scheduling skills across multiple concurrent projects.
Calm, solutions-focused approach to deadlines and high-pressure environments.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with creative and executive stakeholders.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience introducing or managing new post-production systems or processes.
Working knowledge of the Irish language desirable, but not essential.
Knowledge of media asset management systems and shared storage environments.
Experience working across Irish, UK, and other international broadcasters.
Interest in emerging technologies and metadata workflows.
Experience scaling post-production teams or workflows in a growing company.
