Key Role: Maintenance Electrician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, installing, repairing, and replacing electrical wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical trade qualifications, with a minimum of 1 year's experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. They will also possess excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues.
A solid understanding of electrical industrial equipment and machinery is essential, as is knowledge or experience of PM software. Self-motivated qualities, flexibility, and a proactive attitude are also highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
* Plan layout, install, repair, or replace wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
* Support and maintain preventive maintenance routines on machines and equipment.
* Repair and maintain electrical machines, equipment, and devices.
* Advise and support production teams in maximizing plant efficiencies.
* Identify and resolve recurring downtime/inefficient operational issues.
* Follow diagrams or layouts of wiring and equipment, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring to the required standard.
* Install or modify electrical wiring assemblies and accessories, control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels to machines, equipment, and switchgear and other electrical devices to the required electrical standard.
* Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems, to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
* Work closely with the maintenance team and with outside contractors to perform necessary maintenance, repair, or installation of machines and equipment as required.
Requirements:
* Electrical Trade Qualification with a minimum of 1 year's experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
* Experience of electrical fault-finding and proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair.
* A solid understanding of electrical industrial equipment and machinery.
* Knowledge or experience of PM Software.
* Self-motivated qualities, working well on own initiative and requiring minimal supervision.
* Proven flexibility and a proactive attitude.
