CREGG is seeking an FLS Automation Engineer to support and expand our client's on-site production support service.
This is a shift-based role operating on a 24/5 schedule, with shifts from 7:00am–7:00pm or 7:00pm–7:00am on a rotating 3-cycle pattern. The successful candidate will join a team providing 24-hour frontline support to the Packaging Area onsite.
This contract position offers competitive rates and the opportunity for long-term placement.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to GxP procedures across all aspects of the role
Provide real-time frontline support to production teams on manufacturing and information systems
Document, track, and resolve issues and tasks in a timely manner
Assist in identifying and implementing system improvements and corrective actions
Support the coaching of operators and maintenance technicians in the effective use of control systems
Manage and execute change controls for continuous improvement initiatives
Perform and document preventative maintenance activities on automation systems
Skills and Education
Third-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
2–5 years’ experience working with automated control systems, preferably within the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device sectors
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, with a preference for the following technologies:
ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Profibus
OSIsoft PI Data Historian
Experience with vision systems, barcode printers/scanners, and serialization systems used in automated packaging lines is an advantage
Knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ISA-95 industry standards, and 21 CFR Part 11
