We are seeking a Senior Planning Manager to work with us on a project in Ireland.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project schedules and baselines, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
Continuously monitor progress, milestones, and deliverables, promptly reporting deviations or issues to leadership and stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize scheduling activities across all project phases
Update and manage project management tools and databases to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Facilitate clear communication among all stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to safeguard outcomes
Ensure full compliance with regulations, standards, best practice scheduling methodologies
Offer expert scheduling insights and strategic recommendations to support project objectives
Prepare essential project documentation, such as status reports, meeting minutes, and performance analyses
Monitor critical path items, advise on corrective actions, and oversee cost forecasts, budget tracking, work valuations, and accruals for accurate financial reporting
Manage information requirements from delivery teams, ensuring data accuracy and strategic use
Compile summary reports to highlight key project issues, risks, milestones, required actions
Support project managers and teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet defined objectives
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years' experience in project control activities in large-scale metro rail projects or similar highly complex projects
At least Bachelor degree (Honours Bachelor Degree) (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g. Project Management, Business Administration or similar
Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP)
Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector
Previous experience in a similar position in Project Management
Strong project management abilities and comprehensive knowledge of project management principles
Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management
Proficiency with document management systems, databases, and relevant software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Expertise in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
Strong collaboration and teamwork with multidisciplinary groups
Problem-solving ability to address issues and keep projects on track
Experience in quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet standards
Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
Results-driven approach to maintain high-quality service
