We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our award-winning culinary team at the iconic Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire.
A South Dublin institution since 1828, the Royal Marine Hotel is a 4-star landmark set on four acres of landscaped gardens overlooking Dublin Bay. With 228 elegant bedrooms, restored Victorian meeting rooms, and a range of dining and leisure facilities, we offer a unique blend of historic charm and modern luxury.
Our culinary team, led by executive head chef Karl Smith, delivers a sophisticated Irish menu with European influences, using the finest local ingredients.
Job Description
* Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods for all hotel outlets.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with HACCP regulations.
* Contribute to special events, afternoon teas and banqueting functions with bespoke pastry offerings.
This is a full time role with a 40 hours work week.
Requierments
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment.
* Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods and ingredient functionalities.
* Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious desserts.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in pastry production.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
