KNOW THE ROLE
Our E-commerce department are looking for an ambitious candidate to join our Home & Living Team in the role of Junior Online Merchandiser, working across our Fashions categories. The role plays a key part in enhancing our customers experience while shopping Online and working with brands and stakeholders to maximise categories at Brown Thomas Arnotts.
We are looking for someone who can bring new ideas on how to make our Ecommerce site the best in class through merchandising initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining and building on our fantastic relationships with all our internal teams including creative, buying, marketing, customer service & enrichment.
The team currently operates a flexible WFH plan to suit the department and teams. Working regularly from our open office space makes it easy to share ideas and be inspired whilst also offering flexible WFH days. Key Areas of responsibility include:
Trade
* Analysis, tracking and reporting on sales and key KPI's Weekly, Monthly
* Identifying strengths & opportunity
* Analyse & mitigate weakness & threats
Commercial Planning
* Prioritising, Briefing & QA with relevant teams, including Content & Acquisition teams
* Supporting and executing key commercial moments online alongside wider Fashion team
* Aligning priorities with internal teams; such as Buying & Marketing teams
* Awareness of trends, opportunities, competitors and the general fashion market
Inventory Management
* Co-ordinating and executing new launches online
* Monitoring stock availability, sell through and discrepancies.
Customer Experience
* Monitoring customer journey and maintaining a high standard of QA housekeeping across PLP's, ensuring product categorisation and refinement filters are correct.
* Champion driving improvements in conversion and AOV, through onsite merchandising, cross sell, upsell and identifying new opportunities
* Identifying consumer trends & maximising where possible for product & brands
* Communicating with customer service on queries
KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Previous experience working in E-commerce or online business is preferred but this role would also be suited to a candidate who shows the desired aptitude
* Strong computer literacy with an affinity for systems and confidence with key tools such as excel & powerpoint. Previous web platform experience is preferred (salesforce specifically)
* An opportunity to work with autonomy but must have the ability to take initiative
* Ability to multitask and ensure flawless execution with excellent attention to detail
* Clear skills in communication & organisation
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
* Ability to build and maintain relationships
* A passion for learning and continuous improvement
* Flexibility to work in rapidly changing environment (online team) within a larger bricks & mortar retail and also as part of a wider group
* Ability to manage, organise, interpret and present data
* Passionate about the internet, technology & online retail
