Job Title: Key Account Specialist
The role of the Key Account Specialist is to drive sales growth through effective customer relationships and strategic planning. This will involve identifying new business opportunities, following up on existing leads, and increasing product awareness in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify new business opportunities with existing and new customers
* Follow up on all existing leads and identify new leads and business opportunities
* Increase product awareness in the marketplace and drive sales in line with targets
* Visit customers to identify their needs and gain an understanding of their farm to ensure our product meets their requirements
* Effectively communicate market findings and customer insights to management
* Consistently hit targets and grow sales
* Utilize CRM software for collaboration and sales pipeline management
* Provide product training and demonstration to customers and support Field Service Technicians
* Attend trade shows and open days as required
* Submit orders by referring to pricelists and product literature
* Monitor opposition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, and delivery schedules
* Provide customer support and work with the service team
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing professional publications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in field sales, preferably B2C
* A third-level qualification in business, commerce, finance, or another relevant field (advantageous)
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, with advanced negotiation and closing skills required
* A proven history of working to and achieving sales budgets/targets
* A strong working knowledge of farming and agriculture, preferably in the dairy sector
* A technical understanding of agricultural products (an advantage)
* A full clean driving license
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications, previous experience in using CRM software an advantage
* Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
