JOB TITLE: Area Sales Manager Location: Primarily Leinster Benefits: Company pension, company vehicle or mileage allowance, laptop, mobile phone Overview To achieve sales targets and strategic objectives in line with company policies and the agreed marketing plan, with a focus on developing both existing and new business across key channels. The position involves a mix of account management and business development, with the majority of time focused on maintaining and growing existing relationships. The successful candidate will be supported with customer data, sales history, and defined target accounts, while also being encouraged to identify and pursue new opportunities within the region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and grow an established customer base (approx. 80% of the role), while actively identifying new business opportunities Develop sales through electrical wholesale channels supplying major end users, as well as direct engagement with end users and installers (e.g. fibre contractors and telecom providers) Expand presence within hardware and trade retail environments Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including project managers, contractors, installers, and trade partners Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotations, managing the full sales cycle through to close Use the CRM system to manage pipeline activity, customer interactions, and reporting Identify customer needs and provide suitable solutions and product guidance Deliver product support and training where required Complete weekly and monthly sales reports within agreed timelines Assist with industry events, trade shows, and customer presentations PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Maintain regular face-to-face contact with customers to drive sales growth Proactively develop new channels and end-user relationships Monitor and report on competitor and market activity Maintain accurate records and manage opportunities through the CRM system Take ownership of quotations and sales processes Stay up to date with product developments and market trends Be flexible with travel and working hours as required Attend all relevant training sessions, meetings, and events CANDIDATE PROFILE Experience selling through trade, wholesale, or contractor channels preferred Keen, self-motivated, and enthusiastic with a proactive approach to sales Strong relationship-building and communication skills Organised, with the ability to manage their own pipeline and reporting If you are living in Ireland and hold a VALID WORK PERMIT, we would love to hear from you if however, you do not hold a valid work permit unfortunately we will not be in a position to assist you with your job search.
