Overview
We are seeking a
Senior Product Development Engineer
to join a high-performing team focused on cutting-edge medical device development.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and support multidisciplinary engineering projects, working across the full product development lifecycle—from concept to launch—within a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior PD Engineer, you will:
Play a hands-on role in
new product development
, including design, technology advancement, automation, vendor engagement, and project execution.
Apply
Design, Reliability & Manufacturability (DRM)
methodologies and 3D modeling to develop advanced technologies, equipment, and scalable manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
to meet technical and commercial milestones in product development.
Support and lead
technology innovation
initiatives, with a strong focus on quality, rigor, and automation (both semi- and fully- automated systems).
Contribute to
process development
, characterization, and validation activities to ensure robust product introduction.
Utilize tools such as
Six Sigma
, project management frameworks, and engineering problem-solving techniques to address technical challenges.
Document and communicate findings through
technical reviews
, design evaluations, and project dashboards.
Participate in
continuous improvement
efforts within the engineering and product development functions.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers, both regionally and globally.
Provide
mentorship and guidance
to junior engineers and team members.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree (Level 8) or higher in
Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Biomedical Engineering
(or related discipline).
Minimum of
4 years
of relevant engineering experience, preferably within the
medical device industry
.
Proven ability to work effectively in
cross-functional teams
and across organizational boundaries.
Solid understanding of
medical device processes
, along with a good grasp of both product and process design principles.
Strong
communication skills
, fluent in English, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
Desirable Attributes
Experience with
automated manufacturing systems
or process automation is a plus.
Familiarity with
design control
,
regulatory standards
, and
validation protocols
in the medical device space.
