NPP are recruiting for a strategic purchasing manager to join NPPs Supply Chain department. The successful candidate, an ambitious purchasing professional will report to the Director of Operations of NPP. The successful candidate will take responsibility for developing, implementing, and leading the organisations procurement strategy to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely supply of goods. This role will focus on contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and long-term value creation across the supply chain. Key responsibilities Strategic procurement & planning Develop a sustainable and long-term procurement strategy aligned with NPPs vision Analyse market trends and risks to make informed purchasing decisions. Lead continuous improvement processes to enhance procurement. Supplier relationship management Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers. Build strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers to secure better terms for NPP. Monitor supplier performance through agreed KPIs. Contract & negotiation management Lead contract negotiations, ensuring cost savings, risk reduction, and performance guarantees. Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, renegotiations, and performance monitoring of supplier contracts. Partner with other internal departments Partner with finance and sales to ensure more cost-efficient purchasing decisions. Partner with Marketing to support new product launches. Risk management & compliance Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including pricing, quality and potential global affairs related issues. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, and industry standards. Maintain documentation, policies, and procurement records to meet audit requirements. Cost & performance management Identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver measurable annual procurement savings. Manage budgetary responsibilities Provide accurate cost forecasts. Track key metrics such as cost reductions, supplier performance, lead times, and inventory impact.
