Audit Services - Asset Servicing and International
Role
The Senior Auditor conducts and documents routine audit examinations across Northern Trust. Responsibilities include completing audits within budget and timeframes, and adhering to departmental policies and standards.
The role involves providing input to improve operational efficiency and internal controls, offering technical and auditing expertise, and supporting stakeholders mainly in EMEA and North America. The Senior Auditor reports to the Senior Audit Manager in Limerick.
Key responsibilities include:
* Participating in meetings with business units to understand processes and discuss audit results.
* Assessing operations, services, and systems for proper controls.
* Communicating findings and recommendations effectively at all levels.
* Evaluating management and business controls during audits.
* Developing testing approaches and analyzing information for control weaknesses.
* Adhering to Northern Trust Audit Methodology and standards.
* Preparing concise summaries of findings and recommendations.
* Staying current on industry regulations.
* Managing special projects as assigned.
Skills
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Technical abilities in regulatory compliance, data analytics, and auditing tools (e.g., Teammate) preferred.
Experience
* Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics preferred but not required.
* Experience in financial institution auditing or similar public accounting required.
* Certifications like CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA are preferred.
