The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax planning and compliance activities for a portfolio of clients.
They will also provide guidance and support to other members of the tax team and work closely with clients to ensure their tax needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of tax professionals in providing high-quality tax services to clients
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients
Review and approve tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance to clients and team members
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and acting as a trusted advisor
Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to clients and team members
Train and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development
Collaborate with other departments within the company to identify opportunities for cross-selling and expanding services to clients
Assist with business development efforts, including participating in client meetings and presentations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CTA or other relevant professional certification is required
Minimum of 5 years PQE of experience in tax planning, preferably in a public accounting firm
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
