About Us
ArtéTeka is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting young people with experiences of marginalisation and/or multiple needs to take the lead in creating social change.
Our mission is to ensure young people are empowered to realise their full potential, develop a strong sense of self, and, most importantly, find their place as active and engaged members of their communities.
We do this by implementing projects that use art-based methodologies and recycled/upcycled materials—because we believe in environmental responsibility, and we know that meaningful social change must be sustainable and inclusive.
This is an exciting time to join ArtéTeka. With several Erasmus+ projects currently underway, we are expanding our work in Ireland to better support local communities. Looking ahead, we aim to focus increasingly on hands-on initiatives that help individuals upcycle materials while gaining skills to (re)enter the labour market.
Are you a creative person who isn’t afraid to try new things? Do you have experience delivering workshops and lots of ideas to share? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
About the Role
As an Art Trainer & Project Support Officer, you will work closely with the Directors and the EU Project Manager to support the delivery of ArtéTeka’s creative and international activities. This is a hybrid role that combines hands-on art facilitation with administrative and coordination support for EU-funded projects (mainly Erasmus+).
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver creative, hands-on workshops (e.g. sewing, upcycling, crafting) in line with ArtéTeka’s project goals.
* Engage with local communities, organisations, and businesses across Ireland to promote ArtéTeka’s activities.
* Develop social media campaigns to advertise new and upcoming workshops.
* Support the management and implementation of various EU-funded projects.
* Attend international meetings and training sessions in Ireland and abroad (primarily within the EU).*
* Collaborate with partner organisations across Europe to coordinate and deliver project activities.
* Assist in the preparation of materials for project monitoring and evaluation, under the guidance of the Directors, EU Project Manager, or external Project Coordinator.
* Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the organisation and support the wider team as needed.
About You
To thrive in this role, we expect you to:
* Be able to plan, organise, and deliver engaging, inclusive art-based workshops and training sessions, especially for individuals from disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds.
* Feel confident facilitating creative, hands-on activities (such as sewing, upcycling, crafting, or similar)—either through professional experience or as a personal passion you wish to develop further.
* Be fluent in English.
* Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Use Google workspace and online tools proficiently.
* Be creative and willing to share your ideas.
* Work well within a team and understand how to support others in their development.
Desirable Skills and Experience
While not essential, it would be an advantage if you:
* Have previous experience in the creative or arts sector.
* Speak one or more additional European languages.
* Are familiar with digital communication and outreach tools (e.g. Instagram).
* Have intercultural communication skills and enjoy working in international environments.
What We Offer
* The chance to test and develop your own ideas within our field of work.
* A dynamic, international working environment.
* Opportunities to travel across Europe and collaborate with international partners.
* Skill-building in upcycling, creative recycling, and non-formal education.
* A competitive salary and benefits, including:
* Pension contribution
* Annual leave and flexible working arrangements.
* Paid Christmas closure
* A flexible, supportive working environment.
