Job Description

The purpose of this job is to perform scientific procedures and produce accurate results within the required time frame under the client quality system, using client company procedures, and while adhering to company general policies and standards.


Job Responsibilities

* Perform routine and non-routine analysis as requested by the Group Leader or client representative.
* Prepare and approve results for tests in which they have received appropriate training and are deemed competent.
* Notify immediately to the Group Leader or a client representative any anomalous or out of specification results. Deal with client queries and contact designated personnel with relevant information or issues related to test results or the service in general.
* Participate in all required training scheduled by the Group Leader or the client. Be prepared and punctual for training sessions. Engage fully in training and ensure understanding of all information received.
* Complete training records and ensure all records are up to standard for review and approval.
* Provide training to other team members as instructed by the Group Leader, ensuring all training is documented properly.
* Keep all documentation and laboratory records current and of appropriate quality.
* Approach all work with a 'Right First Time' mindset to avoid rework or errors.
* Maintain a clear understanding of the client relationship and service goals. Understand the data flow, its destination, use, and implications of sub-standard data.
* Be aware of related processes such as deviation handling, training documentation, document, and records control.
* Meet or exceed client requirements, being flexible to work in any area as needed.
* Handle client queries and communicate relevant information or issues to designated personnel.
* Stay updated with technological or methodological revisions in their area, complete training, and adjust work as approved by the Group Leader.
* Perform verification checks as scheduled.
* Assist in processing laboratory consumables such as labeling and acceptance testing.
* Revise SOPs and update documentation as required by the Group Leader.
* Provide coverage for team members and participate in weekend or overtime schedules.
* Ensure timely, accurate, and legible documentation conforming to quality standards.
* Lead or assist in laboratory investigations as appropriate.
* Adhere to client standards in safety, housekeeping, and quality, reporting discrepancies.
* Meet or exceed client requirements, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism.
* Ensure consistency, reproducibility, and reliability in work practices.
* Maintain cleanliness in the laboratory.
* Identify opportunities for quality and service improvements and work with the team to implement them.
* Participate in team meetings and provide updates.
* Engage in customer meetings and contribute as needed.
* Strive for optimal service, uphold ethical standards, and ensure GMP compliance.
* Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their area, sharing knowledge and building team skills.
* Assist in developing, coaching, and motivating team members.
* Communicate effectively with the client and internal leaders to ensure smooth operations.
* Review and improve work practices for efficiency.
* Assist in planning activities and professional development for team members.
* Handle customer queries and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
* Act as a role model for professional conduct and coach others.
* Deputise for the Group Leader as needed.


Qualifications

* BSc or Diploma in Science (or equivalent)
* Minimum 6 months laboratory experience with GMP, DP, or micro experience
* Knowledge/experience in Environmental Monitoring, Water sampling, Media Fills, Procedural updates, Biological indicator testing, Protocol executions, Systems: QMS/LIMS/MODA


Additional Information

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with Eurofins.

Working hours: 39 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00.
