Responsibilities
1. Quality Safety and Compliance Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance processes and systems to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety.
Maintain a close watch on product quality at all stages of production, from raw material sourcing to finished goods.
Collaborate closely with product development teams to integrate quality and safety into design and development processes.
Investigate and resolve quality and safety issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Establish and maintain industry-leading safety and quality benchmarks and KPIs for textile products.
Foster a culture of customer-centricity, using customer feedback as part of quality, safety, and compliance management.

Supplier Management & Performance Monitoring
1. Map and Profile Suppliers:
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the textile supplier network, providing insightful data and key metrics on supplier performance and capacity.
Establish a robust ranking system based on key performance indicators, identifying top-performing suppliers and proactively addressing any risks or underperformance.
Ensure that all suppliers meet our stringent ethical and environmental standards through rigorous audits and compliance checks.
Collaborate with department heads to drive improvements in product quality and sustainability through regular supplier audits and assessments.
Build strong relationships with suppliers, working closely with department heads to improve reliability, responsiveness, and efficiency.
Oversee the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring comprehensive documentation, background checks, and factory inspections.

1. Lead Sustainability Initiatives:
Drive and maintain the Dunnes Stores Textiles sustainability programs for textile products.
Ensure full compliance with relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and certifications.
Collaborate closely with suppliers to promote sustainable practices, including eco-friendly materials, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
Lead initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of textile production, including water usage, chemical management, and carbon footprint reduction.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability, integrating this knowledge into company operations.
