Your New CompanyA medium-sized mechanical contractor with a turnover of €30+ million. They work on a wide variety of projects that include high-density residential schemes (apartments + housing), hotels, fitouts, and office blocks, along with some industrial work. There are a number of mixed-used development projects starting in Dublin in the new year, including projects in Dublin 8 and Dublin 24. They work with a selected number of main contractors and win repeat business directly from developers and main contractors.
Your New Role
1. Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor.
2. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the management team.
3. Management of Site QA in conjunction with the Mechanical Package Manager including set up, management and closing out of file.
4. Familiarity with and management of project schedules in conjunction with other trades, Package Leads, consulting Engineer and Client requirements.
5. Assist with the management of all costs associated with your package including Sub-contractors.
6. Material deliveries and goods receipting, Plant and Equipment, Variations and Valuations
7. Management of all day to day on-site operations
8. Management of subcontractor activities includes tracking progress against schedule and personnel levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minute meeting with a sub-contractor.
9. Management of the "In Progress" snagging system ensures that you return weekly punch lists where applicable.
10. Issue direct labour hours and subcontractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
11. Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
12. Close out all project items, including O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, – all with the support of the Mechanical package manager.
13. Implement a weekly look ahead ensuring co-ordination with other trades.
14. Issue an internal weekly progress report.
15. Schedule & track material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule.
16. Maintain a weekly photographic project.
17. All other duties associated with this role.
What You Will Bring
18. A mechanical engineering qualification or relevant work experience
19. Good computer skills in word, excel etc.
20. Proven record of co-ordinating and managing large projects
21. Experience working with a mechanical contractor in the construction sector
