This role is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting smooth financial operations.Main ResponsibilitiesSet up and maintain debtor and creditor accountsProcess customer invoices on a daily basisPerform credit control activities to ensure prompt payment receiptsLiaise with customers and resolve invoice-related queriesProcess cash receipts, customer payments, and bank lodgementsInput and maintain vendor invoicesPrepare and process payment runs through online bankingComplete monthly bank account reconciliationsReconcile company credit cardsPrepare bi-monthly VAT returnsProcess VIES/IntrastatPost monthly journals into the accounting systemMaintain multicurrency exchange ratesEnsure accurate and organised financial filing systemsLiaise with auditors and prepare required audit documentationAttend training seminars and classes as neededSupport management with additional tasks as requiredQualificationsAAT accreditation preferredOther recognised accountancy qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ATI, etc.) or strong relevant experience are an advantageRequirementsMinimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting roleAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility and adaptability to changing tasksStrong attention to detail and accuracyPositive, proactive, can-do attitudeAbility to handle sensitive financial information with confidentialityExcellent organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlinesStrong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
