We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Maintenance Technician based at our state‑of‑the‑art Bakery facility in Grange Castle, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
Ideally, you will have strong Electrical Engineering skills with supporting Mechanical skills and previous experience within an automated factory environment. This is a dynamic role and you must be willing to work on a continental shift pattern.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the Bakery Maintenance Engineering function on shift.
* Ensure that all equipment is repaired to the highest possible standards.
* Record all work carried out in SAP and on Shift Report.
* Implement permanent fixes for all issues raised on the SAP shift report.
* Be responsible for the Maintenance H&S function on shift.
* Provide daily feedback to management through recording and reporting on all Maintenance activities.
* Act as a hands‑on / front‑line leader of the team in breakdown situations.
* Assist management in all technical activities (projects, equipment install, reporting and continuous improvements etc.).
* Work alongside the Maintenance Team to build a continuous improvement environment within the facility.
* Communicate effectively and work under pressure and on your own initiative.
* Attend all required shift meetings.
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks, including condition‑based monitoring.
* Conduct a shift hand‑over meeting at the start and end of each shift.
* Identify equipment spares and inform Manager / Planner of spares used during your shift.
* Provide maintenance assistance to our cold‑stores refrigeration plant when needed.
Skills & Qualifications
* Qualified Electrical Engineer with strong Mechanical skills.
* Ability to use a multimeter, understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems and sensor faults.
* Experience in Food / Refrigeration and other Utility environments is an advantage.
* Good team player and self‑motivated.
* Available for call‑out duties and/or overtime when required.
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP).
