Position Summary:
The Education Operations Coordinator is responsible for academic support services for the delivery of preclinical and clinical curriculum at the Heritage Dublin campus, including classroom activities and testing. This role collaborates closely with Heritage Dublin and Medical Education curriculum staff to support student learning throughout the 4-year program. The Coordinator works with the Dublin-based Clinical Training and Assessment Center ( CTAC ) Coordinator and the Assessment/Evaluation Manager to plan, implement, and manage CTAC operations on the Dublin campus. The position also supports all local (Dublin) on-campus and virtual curriculum activities for preclinical cohorts, along with related programming for clinical student cohorts.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the Standardized Patient (SP) Program at the Heritage College Dublin campus.
* Recruit, hire, and train Standardized Patients (SPs) for use in Clinical Training & Assessment Center and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine ( OMM ) labs.
* Supervise, assign, and schedule SPs, utilizing technology for efficient management.
* Process payments for SP services.
* Evaluate SP performance and utilization to ensure quality and effectiveness.
* Collaborate with the Heritage Director of Experiential Learning on projects to ensure consistency in CTAC operations and programming across all academic and clinical campuses.
2. Assist in coordinating and providing support for activities within the Clinical Training and Assessment Center ( CTAC ).
* Assist in the coordination of CTAC activities in learning environments including but not limited to routine coursework, Basic Life Support ( BLS ) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ( ACLS ) training, bootcamps, simulation sessions, transition to residency programs, and student events.
* Implement faculty-developed case materials and checklists for student activities focused on teaching and assessing clinical skills, using learning management platforms and other educational technologies.
* Collaborate with college partners, preceptors, and physician contacts to facilitate simulation opportunities related to campus CTAC operations.
3. Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the timely and integrated development and delivery of course materials throughout all four years of the curriculum.
* Provide shared proctoring coverage for all quizzes and exams in preclinical courses on the local campus, including support for students registered with Student Accessibility Services ( SAS ).
* Assist with the preparation and facilitation of instructional materials and academic performance tracking tools (e.g., assessment sheets, grades, attendance forms).
* Support college programming and outreach initiatives (including off-hours and off-campus) at the request of campus administration.
Position Profile Implements strategies, systems, and processes to support the academic and career outcomes of students in the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine ( HCOM ). Provides frontline academic advising and support to graduate medical students. Develops and implements programs to enhance students’ academic success in the medical program. Drives engagement and empowers students to achieve their academic goals. Builds relationships with students. Provides guidance on programs, procedures, and academic requirements specific to HCOM. Level Summary Performs professional-level work that involves basic, operational problem-solving. Independently resolves day-to-day issues and executes clearly defined tasks. Provides data analysis and informational insights to support decision-making. Supervisory Responsibilities None; may assist with training student employees. Fiscal Responsibilities No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions. Problem Solving Solves routine problems with defined processes and guidance. Independence of Action Works under close supervision. Communication and Collaboration Collaborates with peers and follows guidance from supervisor. Physical Requirements This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and less than 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
* 1 to 2 years of professional related experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care, Higher Education, or related field
* Candidates with training as an EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or in other related healthcare fields will also be considered
Department HCOM - Medical Education Pay Rate The approved hiring range for this position is $43,888 to $51,377. Offers outside of this range of subject to additional approvals.
