Deep Sea Import Specialist
Coordinate and manage end-to-end deep sea import shipments, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of goods. Liaise with global carriers, agents, and clients to track and manage inbound containers. Monitor vessel schedules and update stakeholders on ETAs, delays, and exceptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Work closely with customs brokers and internal teams to ensure smooth clearance of goods.
- Maintain accurate data within internal systems and provide proactive updates to customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2-5 years' experience in deep sea imports, ocean freight forwarding, or shipping logistics.
- Strong understanding of international shipping practices, incoterms, and customs clearance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills - comfortable working with global stakeholders.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes.
