Overview
Senior Manager - Supply Chain Operations (ExM API Business Unit) role supporting the ExM Supply Chain and interfacing with CMO/ExM Business Unit and Global Supply Chain Planning teams. Acts as the ExM Supply Chain Director designee on critical meetings and drives supply chain activities across the ExM network to ensure continuity of supply and alignment with planning objectives.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Execute the EXM Site S&OP / OBP Process.
* Execute the ExM CMO Allocation process.
* Provide the BU with long-term netted forecast requirements and short-term supply priorities for products from internal and external manufacturing sites.
* Oversee and lead the ExM SC BU Weekly Tiered Hot Topics meeting.
* Support EXM Virtual Plant Teams (VPTs) delivering operational and long-term strategic planning.
* Support ExM VPTs for new product introduction and tech transfer projects ensuring supplier capability to meet requirements.
* Ensure warehousing capacity availability to support ExM supply network; address gaps with GDS and report to key stakeholders.
* Act as central point of contact to develop and support day-to-day relationships between ExM SC & GSC Planning Teams; represent ExM SC in GSC meetings as required.
* Present input and recommendations for business decisions.
* Ensure governance with GSC planning teams to address ExM supply chain risks; work with stakeholders to manage and mitigate.
* Drive escalation of key supply topics to ExM SC Director in a timely manner.
* Maintain continuity of supply within EXM/CMO network; foster close relationships with GSC Planning Teams.
* Identify and resolve supply exceptions with production sites by expediting or reprioritizing POs, reallocating inventory, and ensuring safety stock levels.
* Ensure all BMS GSC SOPs and work instructions are followed and aligned with ExM SOPs/WI.
* Provide Opex support for ExM Supply Chain BU; partner with PD&E & GSC to drive process improvements.
* Determine appropriate inventory levels / safety stock targets aligned with EXM network strategy for CMOs.
* Drive CMO site assumptions reviews with planning teams to ensure correct input to supply planning.
* Accountable for short, medium, and long-term ExM volume projections/budgets for RSM, API, DP, FIN.
* Align EXM BU to GSC projections and coordinate SC VPTs to address FIN topics.
* Ensure CMO assumptions are fed into the process with clear analysis of primary business drivers.
* Monitor PO receipts from all CMOs and ensure timely delivery and availability of product per inventory plan and on-time delivery metrics.
* Create and deliver POs to all suppliers based on lead times and contractual obligations.
* Execute ExM Site BU MRB Process.
* Lead metrics process for ExM Site Supply Chain; manage performance metrics and drive improvements with GSC Planning/BI&A teams.
* Represent EXM Supply Chain at key governance meetings.
* Support Global Initiatives to change the business.
* Site master data alignment (SAP and Kinaxis Rapid Response).
* Execute EXM Site REACH reporting, warehouse capacity, tax reporting, and additional financial reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP and SAP BW reporting, Kinaxis Rapid Response, and related data analysis tools.
* Full understanding of BMS Supply Chain, products and markets.
* Strong Leadership Skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to multiple levels within the business.
* Detailed knowledge of Contract Manufacturing Supply Chain Operations.
* Ability to prioritise, organise and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements and management of regulatory constraints.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
* APICS or related qualification.
* 5+ years of Supply Chain experience in global manufacturing and supply environments, preferably in a similar role.
* Understanding of Supply Chain and Regulatory operations in a cGMP environment.
* Understanding of pharmaceutical artwork management processes.
* Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry.
* Project Management qualification or experience is desirable.
