Job Description
Social Care Leader – Children's Residential Service (CORU Registered).
Eden Social Care is a new, values-led children's residential provider opening a therapeutic home for young people aged 12–17 in County Tipperary. Our services are grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-based care, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, reflective practice, and staff wellbeing. Eden has been developed with the intention of building high-quality residential services where young people feel safe and staff feel supported to do their work well.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shifts within the residential service, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people.
* Model trauma-informed, relationship-based practice.
* Support and mentor Social Care Workers and relief staff.
* Contribute to care planning, placement planning, and crisis support planning.
* Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld at all times.
* Act as a Mandated Person in line with Children First legislation.
* Maintain high standards of documentation and record‑keeping.
* Promote the rights, voice, and participation of young people.
* Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies.
* Support compliance with HIQA National Standards for Children's Residential Services.
* Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development.
Essential Requirements
* Level 7 qualification (or higher) in Social Care or a CORU‑eligible discipline.
* CORU registration as a Social Care Worker, or evidence of CORU application submitted.
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and/or young people in a social care setting.
* Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and trauma‑informed care.
* Full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland.
* Legal right to work in Ireland (no visa sponsorship available).
