Our Team:
This department is part of Global Engineering, supporting the EMEA region in delivering capital projects by conducting engineering studies for Tiers 1 & 2 Projects & Programs, collaborating with the engineering ecosystem and stakeholders. It also supports project execution, peer reviews, and gate reviews.
Main Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery:
o Lead studies for all Tiers 2 projects (€5-15M) and support Tiers 1 projects with the project support group for EMEA M&S sites and external manufacturing.
o Coordinate staffing for project teams with project managers.
o Ensure compliance with Engineering, EHS, and Quality standards, focusing on design-to-cost solutions.
o Define contract models for Engineering studies.
o Collaborate across functions and sites to optimize project steps.
o Apply project management standards and contribute to best practices.
o Leverage global engineering expertise for complex technical challenges.
o Develop team leadership and organizational capabilities.
o Build a high-performance team and facilitate knowledge transfer.
o Identify and communicate project risks.
o Support site teams during PQ & validation activities before handover.
* Project & Maintenance Activities:
o Implement risk analysis, FMEA, and digital tools for critical assets to ensure maintenance plans are in place before start-up.
o Design assets for reliability and maintainability.
* Project & Sustainability:
o Minimize CO2 emissions, energy, and utilities in design, aiming for zero emission in new buildings or extensions.
o Align with planet care group targets.
About You
* Experience:
o Over 10 years in senior engineering roles, managing medium to large projects at site, country, or regional levels.
o Experience in global or cross-functional roles and management positions is a plus.
* Soft Skills:
o Effective collaboration with peers and stakeholders.

* Technical Skills:

o Experience in process and utility systems, project portfolio management, and large project execution.
o Leadership in international teams.
o Over 10 years in managing capital investments and bio/pharma process design.
* Education:
o Master's in Engineering or equivalent.
o Project management background.
o Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech facility startup or manufacturing.
* Languages:
o Fluent in English (spoken and written).
