Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and passionate catering professional to support kitchen operations and deliver high-quality food and service to our clients.
This role supports the Chef Manager/Catering Manager in maintaining excellent food standards, food safety compliance, and efficient kitchen operations within a professional catering environment.
Job Responsibilities Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, service, and presentation in line with HACCP, Health Safety legislation, and company standards Assist with menu planning and menu costings, ensuring budgeted Gross Profit Margins are achieved and food waste is minimised Place food orders in line with company purchasing policies, ensuring only approved suppliers are used Fully comply with and implement all company policies and procedures to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times Complete all assigned Food Safety and Quality records accurately and daily, without exception Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen premises Take responsibility, alongside the Chef Manager/Catering Manager, for team performance and the delivery of high-quality food to clients Assist with checking, probing, and signing off all food deliveries to ensure only the highest quality produce is accepted Ensure food presentation is innovative, visually appealing, and served at the correct temperatures, with temperatures recorded appropriately Assist with stock takes as required Review kitchen hazard lists weekly with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager Maintain strong communication and positive working relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues Carry out daily and weekly cleaning duties as assigned, ensuring kitchen hygiene standards are met Undertake any reasonable duties relating to food preparation, service, hygiene, and overall kitchen efficiency Qualifications Relevant culinary qualification 1–2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen environment Experience in industrial or contract catering Proven experience completing and maintaining HACCP documentation Experience with menu planning and food preparation Strong dedication, self-motivation, and attention to detail Reliable with excellent timekeeping Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team High standards of personal hygiene Professional, courteous, and customer-focused manner A genuine passion for food and service excellence Flexible approach to working hours and duties Willingness to participate in training and development as required What We Offer A supportive team environment Ongoing training and development opportunities The opportunity to work within a professional and structured catering operation
