Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to discharge the duties of the post as outlined below. The post holder will be expected to live CHI values and be child-centered, compassionate, progressive and will act with respect, excellence and integrity. Provide appropriate physiotherapeutic assessment and treatment in accordance with current best practice to infants and children referred to the Neurosciences Physiotherapy team. This will incorporate specialties such as Metabolics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neurorehabilitation, Neurodisability,, Neonatology and General Paediatrics. A priority caseload will be assigned in one of the above areas. A wider Neurosciences caseload incorporating the other specialties listed above will be allocated for the purposes of maintaining skillset and expertise and for reasons of cross cover within the wider Neurosciences physiotherapy team. Rotating priority caseloads may be considered for these purposes. The role will be primarily inpatient based but will have a smaller outpatient caseload Attend MDT clinics, ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings as appropriate. Essential Criteria: Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU - candidates must state CORU registration number on application, or CORU application number and date of submission if still awaiting registration number in the case of section 91 applicants. And All candidates must have three years full time (or equivalent) years post-qualification clinical experience of which one year is in the area of Paediatrics Demonstrate evidence of recent formal continuing professional development relevant to the required area of specialism, in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses How to Apply & Informal Enquiries Applications for this post must be accompanied by a cover letter, setting out relevant experience that illustrates how the essential criteria listed above is met.
