The Talbot Collection Wexford is currently recruiting for a part-time Reservationist to assist in the overall sales of the collection through penetration of the corporate and leisure marketplace. The role involves managing all aspects of the customer's stay, from dealing with enquiries to departure, in a professional and courteous manner. The Reservationist will also assist the Area General Manager and Revenue Manager as required.

Role Specific Duties:
1. Maintain total product knowledge of all hotel services and facilities.
2. Promptly handle all enquiries by telephone, maintaining high customer service standards.
3. Assist the Reservations Manager in developing and maximising bedroom sales.
4. Handle bedroom enquiries and reservations, both individual and group.
5. Input reservations into the in-house front office system.
6. Confirm reservations in writing, including hotel terms and conditions.
7. Guarantee reservations with a credit card from a company account, with a completed credit application.
8. Assist in compiling the yield report.
9. Check if a company has credit with the hotel; if not, forward a credit application and refer responses to accounts.
10. Ensure credit is only extended to approved companies.
11. Promote the hotel through cold calling, customer relations, show-arounds, etc.
12. Maintain excellent communication with corporate clients, travel agents, and tour operators.
13. Collaborate with sales & marketing, conference & banqueting, reception, and the front office manager.
14. Check all commission invoices.
15. Maintain reservation filing systems, rate files, and tour operator files.
16. Maximise room sales via overbooking and waitlisting.
17. Ensure guest needs are communicated to the reception team.
18. Maximise revenue at peak times, offer competitive rates at low times, and up-sell services.
19. Upsell company products and services where possible.
Candidate Requirements:
* At least 1 year of hotel reservations experience.
* Friendly and professional attitude.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Availability to work variable shifts, including weekends.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Experience with Hotsoft is an advantage.
