As part of this change, data protection and is critical to ensuring trust, compliance, and long-term sustainability.Key Responsibilities:Support the integration of data protection across transformation initiativesConduct and advise on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new systems, processes, and servicesProvide expert guidance on GDPR and data protection compliance during organisational changeWork collaboratively with programme, digital, IT, and business teams to identify and mitigate privacy risksContribute to the development and improvement of data protection policies, standards, and guidanceSupport data mapping, records of processing activities (RoPA), and risk assessmentsAssist with data subject rights processes and incident management where requiredHelp build organisational awareness of data protection through advice, guidance, and trainingEssential:Proven experience in a data protection, privacy, or information governance roleStrong working knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection legislationExperience supporting change, transformation, or large programmes/projectsAbility to provide clear, pragmatic advice to non-specialist audiencesStrong organisational and communication skillsDesirable:Experience working on digital, technology, or systems transformation projectsKnowledge of DPIAs, data mapping, and privacy risk management frameworksRelevant qualification (e.g. IAPP, BCS, or equivalent)Experience in a complex or regulated organisation
