Job description
We are looking for a hard-working salesperson for a Permanent Full Time Position.
Michael Heavin Carpets & Furniture is a family owned and run business which has served the midlands for over 35 years. With long standing roots in Athlone and the local community we have a loyal customer base which has made our business a success throughout the years. We specialise in flooring as well and providing a wide range of furniture and home furnishings.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Assisting Customers with the selection and purchase of products.
* Providing customers with job estimations and quotation
* Completing sales and following up on sales and ensuring delivery/installation is arranged.
* Doing in-home consultations and measuring for customers.
* Assisting senior salespeople with sales administration.
* Assisting customers queries over the phone
* Impressing customers with excellent customer service and product knowledge.
* Maintaining a high level of merchandising standards
* Be constantly informing yourself of product knowledge of stock.
* Ensuring that sales and refunds are processed in accordance with policies.
* Maintaining shop floor and standards within the store
What we are looking for:
* Experience with direct sales and customer service
* Experience with flooring and/or job estimations and calculation, desired
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
* Competent math skills for estimating jobs for carpet and flooring sales
* Professional customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and as a team member
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Organisation skills
* Knowledge of basic computer skills
Place of Work:
* Location: Athlone
* Hours: 5 Days a week which includes Saturday
* Working hours: 9 am - 6pm
* Contract: Full-time permanent
Competitive salary Depending on Experience + Commission
