What You Will Be Doing
Management of sub-contractors, labourers and onsite staff
Management and control of health and safety on site
Understanding company policies and ensuring these are implemented at every level of works
Ensure civil works are executed in line with project drawings, specifications, and applicable standards
Manage all civil construction activities, including site preparation, foundation works, concrete pouring, transformer plinths, control building structures, Grid Route ducting, and other relevant activities for the substation
Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment
Promote a zero-accident culture by actively participating in site safety meetings and audits
Monitor daily site activities and address any challenges to maintain project schedule and milestones
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring productivity and efficiency
Conduct toolbox talks and promote a culture of safety and teamwork among the crew
Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and proper use of construction materials, tools, and equipment
Monitor and manage resource usage to minimize waste and control project costs
Provide daily progress reports and updates to the Project Manager
Communicate effectively with site engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Attend project coordination meetings and address civil works-related concerns
Collaborate with QA/QC team to perform inspections and resolve non-conformance issues promptly
Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction working as Foreman is required
Previous experience in Substation and Grid Route construction is desirable
