Hiring for a Senior Electrical Project Manager to be based out of the Athlone region on a permanent, full-time basis while being responsible for projects based in the Midland, Northwest and Eastern regions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Report directly to the Operations Director, overseeing the full financial and operational management of multiple projects.
* Lead project teams to deliver high-quality installations, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, safety, and quality standards.
* Coordinate programming, planning, and reporting activities across all project phases.
* Attend and contribute to meetings with clients and design teams; maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout project lifecycles.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, approve mechanical installations, and ensure commissioning and testing meet quality requirements.
* Support business development efforts through tender review, contract negotiation, and valuation reporting.
* Manage QA process and ensure systems and process align with best practice and client requirements.
Skills and Requirements
* A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (with an electrical focus) is required.
* The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role, delivering large-scale technical projects.
* Experience working with a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Contractor in Ireland or the UK—preferably on Industrial, Data Centre, or Pharmaceutical projects—is strongly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, life safety systems, and electrical building services design, is essential.
* Familiarity with systems such as Building Management Systems (BMS), backup power (UPS/generators), instrumentation, and process control wiring is highly desirable.
* Ability to manage teams on multiple small projects simultaneously.
