Job Description
We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead our site-wide Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) function in a heavy industrial setting.
This critical role requires strategic leadership and technical expertise to protect people, the environment, and business continuity through effective EHS management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs tailored to heavy industrial operations.
* Conduct high-risk risk assessments, hazard identification, and control strategies for complex engineering and equipment operations.
* Manage serious incident investigations and corrective actions.
* Oversee EHS audits, regulatory inspections, and non-compliance issues.
* Deliver training and promote a safety leadership culture.
* Analyze EHS data and present KPIs to senior management.
Requirements:
* 7+ years of EHS experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role in heavy industry.
* Strong command of local and EU safety and environmental legislation.
* Proven ability to manage complex, high-risk environments.
* In-depth understanding of Permit-to-Work systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and machinery safeguarding.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
* Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
