Cardiac Physiologist - Senior GradeFull-time and permanent postWe are currently recruiting for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with expertise in EP or Devices (CRM) to join our team at Mater Private Cork to work with a growing team of Cardiologists to further develop the service.The Heart and Vascular Department provides a full range of cardiac non-invasive and invasive investigations and treatments including ECG, Exercise Stress Testing, Ambulatory Monitoring, Device follow up clinics, Transthoracic and Transoesophageal echo, Angiography, PCI, TAVI, EP studies and ablation; Loop, Pacemaker, CSP and ICD ImplantsThe successful candidate will work within with the multidisciplinary team in the Heart and Vascular Department providing expertise in ECG, ambulatory monitoring, Exercise Treadmill Testing, Device room follow-up and with experience or interest in device implants.The key responsibilities of a Senior Cardiac Physiologist are to manage their own clinic work load with efficiency and high quality. Demonstrate support and staff supervision according to department demands. Deliver mentorship to junior staff with active involvement in staff training. Manage clinical leadership within device and non-invasive testing to a high standard according to department Policies and Procedures and internationally recognised guidelines.Candidate Requirements1. Information on approved entry to practise qualifications can be found at Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT)Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science, Technological University Dublin (TUD)Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology (if qualified in or prior to 2005).Have 3 years post qualification experience with at least 1 years device (CRM) experience.Applicants should have an up to date accreditation with IBHRE, BHRS (British Heart Rhythm Society) or be working towards an accreditation.The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal skills and an awareness/sensitivity towards patient needs.Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage a high volume workload.An ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary teamStrong communication skills.Strong IT skillsMater Private, Cork is committed to a policy of equal opportunities.To apply, please send your CV and cover note to by Friday February 20th 2026
