Overview
We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join our client’s team at a leading FMCG facility in Waterford. This is a 12-month contract role, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing capital projects team delivering impactful site upgrades.
You will be responsible for delivering multiple construction and facility upgrade projects (approx. 3 projects over 12 months), from initiation through to handover. This role will see you managing contractors, ensuring compliance, and driving successful project outcomes in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of facility/building/construction upgrade projects end-to-end.
* Oversee EHS compliance throughout the full project lifecycle.
* Conduct Constructability Reviews, Design Reviews, and Risk Assessments.
* Contribute to IFT/IFC packages and support procurement activities.
* Supervise and manage contractors during construction.
* Ensure all works meet company quality, engineering, and EHS standards.
About You
We’re seeking an experienced professional who can bring technical expertise and project leadership to a regulated FMCG setting.
Requirements
* 6+ years’ project engineering/management experience in construction or related fields.
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience managing projects of similar scale in a regulated/GMP environment.
* Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Utility systems.
