An ambitious private healthcare group, based in South Dublin city, is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to join its high-functioning team.
The successful candidate will oversee the financial operations of three distinct but related entities: a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery centre, an established dermatology clinic with e-commerce, and a D2C startup. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will bridge the gap between day-to-day accounting tasks and high-level management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the production of monthly management accounts for three entities.
Manage multi-entity P&L allocations, ensuring accurate cost classification across five distinct business lines.
Execute month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, intercompany) and full balance sheet reconciliations.
Track complex revenue streams, including consultant rental arrangements and employment-based recharges.
Revenue & AR: Oversee the hospital billing process, ensuring accurate treatment coding and proactive management of insurer-related aged debt.
Expenditure & AP: Design and maintain a robust Purchase Order (PO) system and oversee the full AP cycle and payment runs.
Working Capital: Establish clinical stock management processes and manage merchant reconciliations for e-commerce and retail sales.
Prepare and file Irish tax returns via ROS (VAT, PAYE/PRSI, RCT, and WHT).
Act as the lead contact for external audits and assist with statutory CRO filings.
Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and refine internal controls across all sites.
Supervise and develop an Accounts Assistant.
Act as the finance partner for site administrators and clinical staff to ensure data integrity at the point of capture.
The Ideal Candidate
ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA Qualified or qualified by experience
Strong foundation in multi-entity accounting and Irish VAT/Tax compliance. High proficiency in Excel and cloud-based ERP systems is essential.
Previous experience in healthcare, clinical services, or e-commerce is a distinct advantage.
A "process-fixer" mindset—someone who enjoys refining workflows and ensuring the trial balance is clinical in its accuracy.
