We are seeking an energetic, committed Psychologist to join our Children’s Disability Network Services South Kerry Team (Network 3).

Job Summary
This role is based in South Kerry (Network 3) and works as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults aged 0‑18 years and their families. The psychologist will contribute to assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for children with intellectual, physical, sensory disabilities, those on the autistic spectrum and children at risk of developmental delay. Services are delivered across Tralee, Killorglin and Caherciveen, working closely with families in the community.
Qualifications

Professional qualification as per Department of Health guidelines.
University degree or diploma (QQI Level 8 equivalent) with 1st or 2nd‑class honours in Psychology and a major in Psychology.
Irish post‑graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology, or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
Minimum 6 months experience as a Psychologist, or Trainee Psychologist under supervision, working with children with disabilities (intellectual disability, autism, and/or physical and sensory disabilities).

Driving Licence

Must hold a full driving licence and have a means of transport that qualifies for driving on Irish roads.

Other Eligibility Criteria

Public servants recruited between 1 April 2004 and 31 December 2012 (new entrants) have no compulsory retirement age. Public servants recruited since 1 January 2013 are members of the Single Pension Scheme with a compulsory retirement age of 70.
Must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and in a state of health indicating a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Must be of good character.

Salary and Benefits
Salary Scale: €62,596 – €107,162 including 2 LSI’s (DOH Consolidated Scales 1/2/26).
