Mechanical Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at an award-winning Biopharmaceutical organization based in Carlow.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience of preventive/reactive maintenance and a strong understanding of mechanical/electrical/instrumentation/pneumatic processes. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office and job-related computer applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to Production, performing maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting of machines and equipment. This includes operating and cleaning process equipment as necessary, maintaining equipment to ensure ongoing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for continuous operation.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to Production.
* Perform maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting of machines and equipment.
* Operate and clean process equipment as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Education:
* MAMF Apprenticeship or equivalent Certificate/Diploma required.
* Experience:
* Prior experience in cGMP and regulated pharmaceutical production environment essential.
* Key Skills:
* Extensive hands-on experience of preventive/reactive maintenance.
* Understanding of mechanical/electrical/instrumentation/pneumatic processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related computer applications.
