Job Title: Radiographer
About the Role
You'll play a crucial role within the Diagnostic Imaging Department, providing high-quality radiography services to both inpatients and outpatients.
As a Radiographer, you'll work collaboratively with a dedicated team of professionals and under the leadership of an exceptional manager committed to your professional growth.
The department offers a comprehensive range of services, including General and Emergency Radiography, CT, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound services.
You'll have the opportunity to cross-train and develop your imaging skills, enhancing your professional development and expertise.
Responsibilities
* Participate daily in the general radiography service in the assigned area.
* Proactively engage in training for upskilling and professional development.
* Contribute to out-of-hours service as required.
* Maintain high standards in patient care and radiographic techniques.
* Ensure adherence to radiation protection principles and follow relevant guidelines.
* Comply with statutory directives and keep clinical and technical knowledge up to date.
* Report any equipment faults to the designated supervisor and log them appropriately.
* Participate in routine Quality Assurance procedures and support the hospital accreditation process as needed.
Eligibility Criteria
* A Diploma/Degree in Radiography is essential.
* CORU registration is mandatory.
* 1-2 years of experience working in a Radiography Department is preferred.
* Experience in CT, MRI, and/or DEXA is highly advantageous.
* Knowledge of RIS systems and experience with on-call services are desirable.
* Flexibility to work in the General Department and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment is required.
* Strong awareness of Radiation Safety and Health & Safety regulations is essential.
* Current knowledge of Diagnostic Radiography theory and practice is necessary.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
* An enthusiastic attitude and a proactive approach to learning are vital.
* Strong self-management and teamwork abilities are required.
