We now have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, the successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen while supervising, motivating, and developing the team to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Work alongside the Head Chef to deliver an exceptional culinary experience through food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Maintain the highest standards of quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness at all times
Coordinate daily kitchen operations, ensuring production timelines are met
Perform efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen management and lead the kitchen in their absence
Liaise with suppliers and assist with food ordering
Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen team members
Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring correct stock rotation procedures
Maintain portion control and minimise waste
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and Health & Safety regulations
Requirements
A minimum of two years' experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star or luxury hospitality setting
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for service excellence
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
