Overview of the role: The Junior Bid Writer will have a key role in the production of high quality, customer focused tender responses.
You will gain satisfaction from writing in a clear and concise manner with innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs.
In addition to articulating solutions, you will also be responsible for the layout of documentation and slides to ensure they are visually appealing and memorable.
The Junior Bid Writer role involves: Assisting in writing compliant, customer focused bids as part of a team and independently, with guidance from the Senior Bid Manager.
Helping to identify win themes and storyboarding to shape the content of responses.
Working with a bid team, supporting the Senior Bid Manager and other team members to identify winning themes and contribute to the overall bid production.
Assisting with analysing client requirements including compliance and scoring.
Championing the importance of effective bid writing, aligned with best practices.
Working collaboratively Collaborating with to support Veolia subject-matter experts and others in the team, to gather accurate technical information and transform complex details into accessible language.
Assisting with the visual presentation of proposals, ensuring they are clear, appealing, easy to understand and evaluate.
Accessing knowledge resources and input from SLT, Quality, Finance and Operations team members, to create responses to specific client questions, backed up with evidence and case studies.
Managing the resource and bid library.
Providing ad hoc support to the Senior Bid Manager, as required.
Ideal candidates will have: Degree or equivalent qualification in journalism or English or proven equivalent experience and ability to write Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and subject-matter experts Knowledge of bid writing best practice.
(Not essential) Membership of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) professional body.
(Not essential) Ambition to develop a career in bid writing and business winning.
Interest in learning how writing techniques support business growth and tender winning.
A thorough approach, diligent, with keen attention to detail.
An eye for detail and a proven ability to use design skills to make eye-catching written material.
Commitment to see projects through from start to finish.
It would be great if you have some of these, but if not we'll help you with them.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, hardworking, meticulous in their approach and have a keen interest in applying the latest industry developments, such as use of AI.
This position is hybrid, linked to our Dublin office with occasional travel to other Veolia sites.
