Role Title:Infrastructure Engineer-Level 3Business Area:Service & OperationsAbout This Role:Due to continued expansion of eir evo we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Engineer that endeavours to become an integral part of our Managed Services Team, working in an evolving and exciting multi-customer multi-technology IT environment. This is a full time permanent position.Expectations From The Role:Working in a growing Managed Services team with procedures based on ITIL Framework and governed by ISO 20000Work with technical experts and business managers to support and when appropriate input into recommendations to optimise client solutionsInvestigation and Diagnosis - establish failing component, confirm impact, identify any events that may have been a contributing factorResolution and Recovery, reducing impact were possibleSenior infrastructure escalation point for other ICT support teamsCoordinate with other ICT teams or 3rd parties when required.Provisioning of Servers and Storage in VMware or AzureProvide On Call Support in a rotating teamWrite efficient, easy to follow user guides and documentation and maintain a clear focus on building knowledge managementAssess infrastructure changes, raise awareness for potential impacts and play a key role in change management governanceRequirements For A Successful Application:5 + years previous experience working as a Infrastructure Engineer in an Enterprise or Managed Services environment.Virtualisation technologies such as Azure, VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-VO365 and Intune administrationMicrosoft Windows Server Enterprise environmentsDell and HPE SAN Storage administrationAn understanding of networking to be capable of identifying network issuesExcellent communicator, comfortable managing the expectations of senior technical staff as well as senior managementITIL knowledge and experienceThe successful candidateHas a flair for technology and enjoys problem solving and rising to challengesEnjoys working with teams and liaising with multiple stakeholdersCan provide technical leadership to colleaguesDemonstrates great determination in resolving complex issues and closing out projectsIs comfortable at handling major incidents and providing leadership and input into resolutionIs customer-focused and deadline oriented in an SLA driven environmentCertifications in VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, HPE and Dell technologies preferredOthers:About EirOur purpose is toconnect for a better Ireland.Our ambition isto be the number one choice for telecommunications and technology solutions, delivering for our customers today and into the future.Our new values and behaviours reflect both who we are and who we strive to become.
