The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Supply Chain Coordinator
to join our team on a
6-month contract
, with a
strong possibility of becoming a permanent position
. You will be responsible for purchasing, inventory control, and supplier management while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the plant. This role involves working closely with multiple departments, overseeing supply needs, and managing both routine and urgent procurement tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle all purchasing activities, including obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, and selecting vendors.
* Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
* Prepare and process order confirmations, dispatch notes, invoices, shipping documents, and credit notes.
* Track and expedite orders, resolving any issues with suppliers quickly and effectively.
* Support plant operations by coordinating non-stock purchases and freight shipments (air/ocean import/export).
* Monitor and report on purchasing KPIs.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure operational requirements are met.
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar purchasing, supply chain, or inventory role.
* Diploma/Degree in Business or a related field preferred (experience will also be considered).
* Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
