Production Manager
BnM currently has an opening for a Production Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Edenderry and will report to the Thermal Plant Manager. The role will be responsible for managing the Operations function of Edenderry/Cushaling generation assets in accordance with owner and customer needs, ensuring environmental and health and safety compliance whilst maximising plant performance.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
1. Management of Renewable Energy portfolio of generating assets to achieve and maximise plant availability and efficiency while achieving BnM’s and government renewable targets;
2. Manage and lead the operations of the power plant, ensuring alignment with the Maintenance teams according to the customer’s instructions, ensuring that targets are achieved, and works are carried out safely, economically, and within environmental and design limits of the Plant. When required, carry out the role of Windfarms Operational controller. Role includes operations planning and reporting, materials logistics, and management;
3. Responsible for material management, purchasing, and contract management to meet company standards and support operations within the budget. Liaise with compliance and Trading functions to ensure the assets are financially optimized while maintaining compliance;
4. Participate in implementing the Renewable Energy Business Management System, coordinating with customers, partners, regulatory authorities, and accreditation bodies. Responsible for meeting commercial, safety, environmental, and quality targets;
5. Participate as a member of the operations management team. Develop and implement a resource plan for the operations team extending to 2030 and beyond. Develop a succession plan and ensure people development plans are executed. Lead engagement planning for the operations function with actionable plans;
6. Ensure all employees cooperate with provisions for Health and Safety and Welfare of colleagues and the public;
7. Lead and manage your direct reports, participating in performance management to meet objectives.
The Person
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
* BSc in Engineering or equivalent in a related technical discipline;
* 10+ years of experience in a similar role;
* Experience with Steam Boiler and Steam Turbine plants;
* Excellent people management skills.
