The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and layout of complex PCBs handling currents from 10A to 200A+, with a focus on thermal management, signal integrity, and manufacturability. This is a technically hands-on role suited to engineers who enjoy working on cutting-edge power systems within a collaborative R&D environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end PCB layout and design process for high-power applicationsDesign boards with optimized trace width, thermal dissipation, creepage/clearance, and high current handlingPerform impedance control, thermal and power integrity analysisWork closely with hardware engineers on board architecture and component placementGenerate complete manufacturing documentation including Gerbers, BOMs, pick-and-place files, and assembly drawingsSupport PCB bring-up, validation, and testingProvide technical mentorship to junior engineers and PCB designersInterface with external vendors for DFM/DFT/fabrication review processesRequired Experience:BSc/MSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related field)7+ years' experience in PCB design, with at least 3 years working on high current or high-power systemsProficiency in tools such as Mentor Graphics, Cadence Allegro, or equivalentStrong knowledge of PCB stack-ups, thermal vias, copper weight design, and power planesExperience with DC-DC converters, motor drivers, battery management, or power distribution systemsFamiliarity with IPC standards relevant to high current/power designsExperience using simulation tools for thermal, power, and signal integrity analysisStrong documentation and communication skillsNice to Have:Experience in EMI/EMC mitigation for high current designsFamiliarity with embedded systems and mixed-signal layoutsExposure to automotive, industrial, or aerospace standardsKnowledge of heavy copper and multi-layer PCB fabrication techniques
