Our client is a leading bakery and convenience foods production facility at the forefront of food innovation.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems, utilities, and services to support continuous production.
* Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and utility systems.
* Support the ongoing operation and maintenance of facility infrastructure, including water treatment systems, waste management, fire systems, and building fabric.
* Respond to facility-related breakdowns and service interruptions, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
* Monitor and log system performance, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
* Assist with installations, commissioning, and upgrades of facility-related equipment and infrastructure.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and EHS teams to support site operations and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
* Minimum NFQ Level 6 (Advanced Certificate) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* At least 3 years of facilities or maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, and utilities infrastructure.
* Good understanding of health & safety, food safety, and environmental compliance in a regulated setting.
Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent position working primarily on day shift Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility for evening/weekend cover. The remuneration package includes a competitive salary and pension.
